With a clear understanding that policy development is a core function within public health, AHF is committed to fostering policy-driven initiatives focused on medical awareness, education, and access in Latin America. AHF strives to develop evidence-based tools and resources that have the potential to bridge knowledge gaps and shed light on unmet needs, shaping the environment to promote improved health outcomes.

In 12 years of activity, our team has been involved in the development of over 100 projects, including 55 consensus conferences with expert recommendations addressing topics that range from diagnostics in oncology and rare diseases to treatment in inflammatory diseases and disease prevention, and more.

Our latest achievement consists of an article on Alzheimer’s disease (AD), “A Task Force for Diagnosis and Treatment of People with AD in Latin America,” which was published in Frontiers Neurology and supported by a fully Latin American sponsor. This high-impact project incorporated perspectives from nine Latin American countries and 15 key opinion leaders, proposing key strategies to improve AD diagnosis in the region and offering management algorithms for different stages of dementia attributed to AD. The publication can be accessed here.

In our pursuit of advancing public health in Latin America, AHF has crossed yet another remarkable milestone, building a network of over 400 key opinion leaders in healthcare. These experts have been instrumental in developing projects which amplify education, awareness, and access to optimal care in the region. Additionally, we are proud to share new partnerships and sponsorships. We have recently started working with individual Latin American organizations including Adium, Optimal Therapies, and Raras Cro, and we have added the Alliance for Regenerative Medicines as a partner. These collaborations represent yet another significant step towards exploring innovative solutions for healthcare challenges in Latin America.

On the rare disease front, we continue to work together with CZI, ERCAL, and 10 Latin American advocacy groups to create an impact on policy and help bridge existing gaps in the field. Visit the official website and find out more here.

As we continue to unravel the transformative impact of policy-driven initiatives on public health, we extend an open invitation to potential sponsors and like-minded organizations to collaborate with us. If you represent a company that shares our vision of a healthy Americas with a focus on trans-sectorial approaches on prevention strategies and improved access to adequate care in developing countries and resource-limited settings, we encourage you to reach out to us.

Thank you for your continued support.
