Degree in Medicine from the University of Pernambuco (1977), Master in Internal Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1997) and PhD in Tropical Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2006). He is an associate professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Deputy Coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee of UFPE from 2005 to 2009. Director of Teaching, Research and Extension of Hospital das Clínicas of UFPE (2012-2014). Head of the Research and Technological Innovation Sector, Hospital das Clínicas EBSERH / UFPE (2014-2017). Coordinator of the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Hospital das Clínicas, UFPE / EBSERH. Has experience in Medicine, focusing on Pulmonology and Allergology, acting on the following subjects: asthma, Rhinitis and COPD. Coordinator of the Research Group on Allergy and Clinical Immunology of HC of UFPE. He is currently Head of the Pulmonology Department of the UFPE / EBSERH Clinical Hospital and an effective member of the UFPE Graduate Program in Child and Adolescent Health and the UFPE Graduate Program in Health Sciences.
