Dr. Vera Soto holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a master's in public health, as well as a specialization in epidemiology and occupational health and safety management.

He is currently the coordinator of the integrated management group for endemic-epidemic diseases, leading the initiative for the elimination of communicable diseases, the control of dengue and yellow fever, and the subprograms for Chagas disease and leishmaniasis, among others.
