Luiz H. Araujo, MD, PhD, was graduated in Medicine by the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2004), residence in Internal Medicine at the Julia Kubitschek Hospital - FHEMIG (2004-2006), residence in Medical Oncology at the Brazilian National Cancer Institute (INCA, 2006-2008), fellowship in Cancer Research at INCA (2009-2011), Master in Science at INCA (2009-2011), and PhD at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2013-2016). Worked as a Medical Oncologist at INCA (2011-2012) serving in patient care, teaching, and research with focus on Lung and Head & Neck cancer. Former fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), working as a Post-doctoral Researcher in translational projects on lung cancer genomics at The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio - USA) from 2012 to 2015. Served as Director of Scientific Affair at Instituto COI between 2018 and 2021, and Consultant in Oncology at Grupo Hermes Pardini between 2018 and 2021. Current Regional Director of Oncology at DASA and Physician-Scientist at Instituto Nacional de Câncer (INCA). President at Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica Regional RJ. Active member of ASCO, the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (SBOC).
