Dr. Ivan Dario is a Colombian medical doctor and researcher with extensive expertise in infectious diseases, parasitology, and tropical medicine. He holds a PhD in Infectious Diseases from the University of Granada, Spain, and has worked extensively in the study and control of tropical diseases like leishmaniasis.

Dr. Vélez is the founder and director of PECET at the University of Antioquia and has served in numerous prestigious positions, including Medical Officer for NTD/WHO and Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine.
