Medical doctor from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC). Received training in internal medicine and emergency, which he practiced for five years at the Hospital de Urgencias Asistencia Publica in Santiago, Chile. Have experience as a clinical researcher. Master in biostatistics at University of Chile and master in epidemiology at PUC. After Master in health economics at University of York and my PhD in Economics at the Centre for Health Economics at York.
His research has been focused on the development of methods to explore heterogeneity in cost-effectiveness analysis as well as applied research in economic evaluation of healthcare.
Associate professor of health economics in the Department of Public Health at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, chief of the Health Technology Assessment Unit and Editor in chief of value in health regional issues.
In addition, currently serving as consultant for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) .
